The upcoming PANAP STEPFFoS Webinar Series under AFAAS’ Agricultural Value Chain Webinar platform will convene on 28 May 2026 at 14:00 GMT and 17:00 CET under the theme “Strengthening Africa’s Agricultural Value Chains for Food and Economic Transformation: Ideas from EU-AU Food System Stakeholders.”

The webinar will bring together perspectives from AFAAS, COMESA, and Kilimo Fresh Foods Africa Limited to explore how stronger agricultural value chains can improve food systems, market access, resilience, and inclusive economic growth across Africa.

The presentations are closely aligned with the theme: Dr. Rosemirta Birungi will discuss how value chain approaches and extension services can support sustainable food systems; Mr. Nsangwa Ngwira will share regional lessons on market systems and resilience for value chain competitiveness; and Mr. Baraka Jeremiah Chijenga will present practical private sector insights on streamlining fresh produce value chains through lead buyer business engagement. Together, these perspectives show how advisory systems, regional cooperation, and agribusiness innovation can drive food and economic transformation.
